Batman v Superman – Dawn of Justice

This is an odd one.  The 35mm film was scanned at 2K and the 70mm was scanned in 8K. The final mastering was done at 4K, but other than the 20 minutes of IMAX scenes the whole movie is 2K.  This is one of the few movies to have some of the VFX and post workflow completed in 4K.  Check the information below to see if the studios have upgraded the video with HDR or added immersive Dolby Atmos or DTS:X audio tracks.

  • Shot on 35mm and 70mm (Limited scenes on 16mm and 2.7K)
  • VFX Rendered in 2K (4K IMAX Scenes)*
  • Digital Intermediate at 4K*
