The chart will be updated as new devices are available or announced. Content and features are not available on all platforms. Check with the manufacturer for full details. Your TV manufacturer may offer extra built-in apps or streaming options with the above services such as Dolby Vision or 4K.

Amazon Fire Stick – Not 4K compatible.

Chromecast Ultra – Can play Dolby Atmos if plugged into certain Receivers/Amps/Soundbars. Not all are compatible.

LG 970 – A firmware update was pushed out which allowed DV, shortly after LG took the feature away with no explanation.

Oppo 203 and 205 – Are essentially the same player. The 205 adds a headphone amp, XLR output, and a USB DAC.

Philips 7501 and 7502 – Use a proprietary App you must use. The 7502 plays Atmos and DTS:X even though it is not officially supported as confirmed by CSRs. (caveat emptor)

Roku Ultra – Adds an optical audio out which is highly recommended if you do not have a 4K capable receiver/amp.
Roku Premiere+ and Premiere – No optical output. Not recommended if you have an older amplifier.

Sony X700 and X1000ES – Stream audio from any phone/tablet using the SongPal app. Sony uses Miracast for video which is not available on iOS currently. The X700 will be receiving the Dolby Vision update in Summer 2018.

Every effort has been made to keep this chart up to date and accurate.  Occasionally something slips by, make sure to check with the manufacturer for full details and latest information.  Previous models may not have all of the same features.
